TUESDAY, June 14, 2011 CANDIDATES FORUM DAY

6:30 am • REVEILLE

7:00 – 7:50 am • BREAKFAST 7:00 – First Platoon (Colors: Third Platoon); 7:15 – Second Platoon; 7:30 – Third Platoon. 7:00- Mayors & moderators meet with Mr. DiCara in the Cleary Faculty / Staff  Dining Room.  Election officials to pick up ballots.

8:00 am • PRIMARY ELECTIONS

Primary elections will take place in municipal meeting rooms.  Election ballots will be distributed collected, and tabulated.

8:00 – 9:00 am • PARTY CONVENTIONS – Nationalist Convention – Hill Lecture Hall; Federalist Convention - Hemingway Theater.  Platform and Resolutions will be finalized.

9:15 – 10:15 am • ELECTIVES LAW – Hemingway Theater, GOV – Roche Dining Commons Room A, ECON – Hill Lecture Hall

10:30 am – 11:15 pm • GENERAL EDUCATION – Ames Center.  Topic: Electoral Process.

11:30 am – 12:20 pm • LUNCH – 11:30 – Second Platoon; 11:45 – Third Platoon; 12:00 – First Platoon.

11:30 – Party chairmen and candidates for statewide office will meet with Mr. DiCara, Mr. Jacques, and Mr. Smith in the Cleary Faculty / Staff Dining Room.

12:30 – 1:30 pm • MINI-COURSES – House to D-019 and Senate to D-020.  The Boys’ State District Court will be in session.

1:30 – 4:00 pm • RECREATION PERIOD

5:00 – 5:50 pm • DINNER 5:00 – Third Platoon (Colors: Second Platoon); 5:15 – First Platoon; 5:30 – Second Platoon.

6:00 – 7:15 pm • MUNICIPAL MEETINGS. Each official should estimate the funds he desires for the coming year, and prepare a budget request  (See Section 2-12 on p. ?) for presentation at Wednesday meetings.  Clerk must pass in Appointment Sheet to Mr. Bedard’s mailbox.  Members of the American Legion will speak.

7:30 – 9:15 pm • CANDIDATES FORUM. Roche Dining Commons Room A.  Candidates for statewide office will speak and answer questions.  Each party will read / distribute its platforms and resolutions.  Presiding: Jared Bowen, WGBH-TV, CH. 2.  Boys’ State shirts required attire for all.

9:30 – 10:00 pm • MUNICIPAL MEETINGS. Cities and towns will meet in their dormitories to discuss Gen Ed #5.  Each city & town shall submit a written report.

10:30 pm • LIGHTS OUT
